Twisted Simon Says: Use the traditional game as a guide but use ‘Fairy Says’ or ‘Spiderman Says”. It’s fun and brings the game into the theme. As the kids get caught out, get them to be the next spotter. This keeps them all engaged in the game.

If the kids are losing interest in a game being played, go on to a new game. An interested child is a happy child.

If you’re on a budget keep decorations simple: some balloons, streamers and plain plastic plates and cups. The kids will still have a great time! The “dollar” shops have good deals.

If budget is not an issue then “brand” disposable tableware and theme decorations will be the go, available in most retail shops.
